Mark Lippens has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Mark started their career as a PhD Student and Research Assistant at Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2007. Mark then joined KPMG Audit in 2008 as a Supervisor Audit. After four years, they were promoted to Manager Audit in 2012 and later to Senior Manager Audit in 2015 at KPMG Norway. In these roles, they served large- and medium-sized companies, primarily in the Energy and Natural Resources Industry. Mark also served as an oil & gas industry expert on large engagements. In 2016, they joined Signify as the Director of Technical Accounting & Oversight, where they had the responsibility to ensure high quality external reporting. Mark also served as the Secretary to the Investment Committee, coordinating and preparing proposals for the committee. Most recently, in 2019, they became the Head of Accounting and Reporting at Fugro.
Mark Lippens has an extensive education history. Mark completed their Executive Program in Corporate Social Responsibility at Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2021-2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Post Master Accountancy degree from Erasmus School of Accounting & Assurance (ESAA) from 2008 to 2011. Mark also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Accounting, Auditing & Control from Erasmus University Rotterdam, which they earned from 2007 to 2009. Mark's undergraduate education was completed at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Business from 2000 to 2007. Their academic journey began at Stedelijk College Eindhoven, where they completed their high school education from 1992 to 1998.
