Abigail Collins

Abigail Collins is a seasoned data scientist currently holding the position of Data Scientist II in Statistics and Data Analytics at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies since June 2022, having previously served as Data Scientist I in the same unit. Prior to this role, Abigail was a Graduate Student Researcher at Iowa State University from August 2020 to June 2022, where significant contributions included cleaning 1.4 million rows of data in R, accurately predicting high school student ACT scores using generalized linear modeling, and implementing machine learning algorithms to forecast college retention rates. Additionally, Abigail served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, facilitating statistics education for approximately 80 undergraduate students. Abigail earned a Master of Science in Statistics from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from St. Lawrence University.
