Chad Cecil

Chad Cecil, MS, PhD, currently serves as the Associate Director QC and Head of Microbiology at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, where responsibilities include building a microbiology team and establishing a state-of-the-art laboratory in Holly Springs. Prior experience includes a Senior Principal Scientist role at Pfizer, leading the Analytical Research and Development Microbiology Group and developing a cross-site Microbial Contamination Control Program. Previous positions encompass R&D Scientist at HIPRA, Senior Microbial Product Safety Scientist and Group Leader at Novozymes, Section Head for Diagnostic Virology at the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and Senior Associate Research Scientist at AlphaVax Human Vaccines, Inc. Chad Cecil holds a PhD in Microbiology from North Carolina State University and an MS in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with dual Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Anthropology from the same institution.
