Swapnil Gandhi

Swapnil Gandhi, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the biopharmaceutical and chemical engineering sectors, currently serving as a Senior QA Validation/Automation Compliance Consultant at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies since October 2020. With expertise in automation, equipment qualification, and regulatory compliance per cGMP/GAMP guidelines, Swapnil has led critical projects including support for the Operation Warp Speed Program and large-scale manufacturing of COVID-19 vaccine candidates. Previous roles have included consulting and engineering positions at Pfizer, AbbVie, Assertio Therapeutics, and CSL Behring, where Swapnil focused on automation qualification, control systems, and validation activities. Swapnil holds a PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the University of Iowa, where research centered on innovative drug delivery systems, and has a strong foundation in both research and teaching through positions at the University of Iowa and the University of North Dakota.
