Jose Romero

Jose Romero has work experience as an Associate Scientist at FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific since February 2022. Previously, they worked at UC Irvine School of Medicine as a Junior Specialist I from July 2021 to February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at UC Irvine from June 2019 to July 2021. Their research focused on investigating the effects of chronic alcohol use, chronic inflammation, and infection with entro-pathogenic bacteria on water-soluble vitamin transportation in the gastrointestinal tract. Jose performed laboratory calculations, prepared solutions, collected and analyzed research data, worked with cell lines, and sterilized the workspace and lab equipment.

Jose Romero earned their Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from UC Irvine from 2017 to 2021. In July 2022, they obtained a certification in Pipeline to Grad School Bootcamp from UC Berkeley Graduate Division.
