Brandon Schmidt

Senior Scientist Quality Control at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics

Brandon Schmidt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Brandon began their career in 2011 as an Electrical Controls Engineer at Modine Manufacturing Company, where they designed and built machinery for manufacturing using AutoCAD electrical and Allen Bradley/Rockwell parts. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in a molecular biology research lab focused on Alzheimer's disease, specifically studying the role of amyloid beta toxicity in neuronal health. Their responsibilities included regulating amyloid beta turnover through changes in gene expression. In 2019, Brandon joined PPD as an Associate Scientist, a position they held until 2023. Lastly, since 2020, they have been working as a Quality Control Scientist at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics.

Brandon Schmidt has a diverse education history spanning several years. Brandon first attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Following this, they pursued further education at the same institution from 2014 to 2017, earning another Bachelor's degree, this time in Biomedical Sciences, General. Finally, in 2021, Brandon enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Applied Bioinformatics, which they completed in 2022.
