Kat Nelson

Kat Nelson has over 17 years of experience in engineering and process management. Kat currently works as a Senior Project Engineer at Fulcrum BioEnergy Inc., and previously worked as a CSU Process Specialist at BP. Their previous positions involved working as Commissioning Process Lead at BP, Engineering Project Lead at Collins Aerospace, Lead Startup Engineer at TechnipFMC, and Commissioning Engineer and Lead Project Engineer at Technip. Before that, they worked as a Pre-commissioning Supervisor and Process Engineer at Shaw Group. Their work experience also includes a role as a Process Technologist at Mars Petcare. Throughout their career, they have been responsible for developing simulations, overseeing the commissioning scope, leading multi-functional engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Kat Nelson received a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Bath between 2001 and 2006.
