Brian Lucas

Brian Lucas has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Brian is currently serving as the Vice President and Head of Medicinal Chemistry at Fulcrum Therapeutics. Prior to this, they held various leadership positions at Skyhawk Therapeutics, including Executive Director from May 2021 to July 2023, Senior Director from August 2019 to May 2021, and Director from October 2018 to May 2021. Before joining Skyhawk Therapeutics, Brian worked at Biogen as a Principal Scientist from March 2016 to October 2018 and as a Sr. Scientist from July 2014 to March 2016. Brian also gained valuable experience at Amgen, where they served as a Senior Scientist from July 2006 to July 2014. Earlier in their career, Brian worked as a Research Associate at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from 2000 to 2001 and as a Process Chemist at Schering-Plough from 1997 to 1999. Brian started their career as a Co-op student at Avery Dennison from 1995 to 1996.

Brian Lucas received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University from 1992 to 1997. Brian then pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2001 to 2006.
