Jim Ripp

Jim Ripp has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jim started their career in 1993 as a Store Manager at Falcetti Music Co. In 1998, they became the General Manager at Forbes-Meagher Music Co. Inc. Jim later founded their own company, Ripp Investments, LLC., where they worked as the Owner/Broker until 2012. In the same year, they joined Full Compass Systems as the Channel Sales Manager and eventually transitioned to the role of Manager of Technical Training and Sales Development. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Education and Live Event Production at Full Compass Systems.

Jim Ripp attended UW Madison from 1984 to 1988, where they studied Music Education. Prior to that, from 1982 to 1984, they attended Madison Area Technical College, focusing on Recreation Resource. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including the Focusrite Pro Rednet Certification - Advanced from Focusrite Pro in October 2021, Q-Sys Level 1 from QSC in March 2021, Dante Certification Level 3 from Audinate in July 2020, MXA710 Linear Array Technical Enablement, MXA910 Ceiling Array Technical Enablement, and Networking for Shure DSP and Audio Interfaces from Shure Incorporated in August 2020. Jim also holds the Av Technologist certification from AVIXA, although the month and year of obtaining it are not specified.
