Porter C. Taylor

Porter C. Taylor currently serves as the Rector at the Church of the Good Shepherd and holds the position of Affiliate Assistant Professor of Worship at Fuller Theological Seminary. With extensive experience in leadership within the Episcopal Church, Porter served as the Dean of the Southeast Deanery for the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida, overseeing 19 churches and 63 clergy. Previous roles include Rector at St. David’s by the Sea Episcopal Church, where membership grew by 25%, and Theologian in Residence at the Church of the Apostles. Porter has also operated a home improvement business, contributed as a freelance writer, and served as Canon to the Ordinary in a large Anglican Diocese. Educational credentials include a PhD in Practical Theology from the University of Aberdeen and a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary.
