Sidney Arendse

Sidney Arendse is an experienced maritime professional with a robust background in navigation and deck operations. Currently serving as a Deck Officer (Unlimited) at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines since September 2022, Sidney has held various positions including Chief Officer at Sea Harvest Group Ltd, 2nd Navigating Officer at AMSOL, and Skipper at Viking Fishing. Previous roles include 2nd Navigating Officer on an Offshore Drill Ship with De Beers Marine Namibia, and Captain for private fishing vessels. Early career experience includes positions as Chief Officer and other roles at SAMSA Special Projects, and a Deck Cadet position at Safmarine.
