Janis Jibrin

Wellness Program Developer at FULLFILL

Janis Jibrin has been working in the health and nutrition field since 1990. Janis started out as a self-employed nutrition writer and consultant, writing articles for magazines such as Allure, Family Circle, Fitness, Good Housekeeping, Men’s Health, Parenting, Prevention, and Yoga Journal. Janis has authored or co-authored six nutrition books, some of which have been New York Times bestsellers. Janis has also written hundreds of health blogs for DietsInReview.

In 2017, Janis began working as an Adjunct Professor of Nutrition at American University. Two years later, they began working as the Lead Nutritionist/Writer for Real Appeal, a 50-session, year-long weight loss program created for United Health Group. In this role, they helped develop and wrote/edited much of the program while managing a team of dietitians, health writers and editors.

In 2019, Janis began working as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Georgetown University, as well as a Wellness Program Developer for FullFill, Inc. In this role, they helped conceptualize, research and write FULLFILL, a new behavioral weight loss/wellness program. Janis also managed a team that included writers, editors, nutrition scientists, dietitians and chefs.

Janis has also been running their own private practice and employee wellness business, Janis Jibrin Nutrition, since 2001.

Janis Jibrin obtained a Bachelor of Science Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Master of Science in Nutrition from the University of Maryland. Janis is also a Registered Dietitian, certified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
