Shaunya Chavis-Rucker

Shaunya Chavis-Rucker is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in both government and television sectors. Since January 2015, Shaunya has served as the Divisional Head of the Fulton Films Office, driving initiatives that generate revenue through film production rentals, marketing strategies, and partnerships within the Creative Industry. Additionally, Shaunya has been the Station General Manager and Principal Anchor for FGTV, the largest county government television station in Georgia, since November 2001. Other significant roles include serving as a Television Entertainment Correspondent for WXIA-TV, and previous positions as an Anchor/Reporter at various news stations such as WSB-TV and WCPO-TV. Shaunya is also the Founder and Executive Director of Golf G.A.L.S., contributing to community engagement. Shaunya holds a BA in Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism from the University of West Georgia.
