Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical and firmware engineer with a background in developing collaborative solutions for educational technology. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris plays a key role in creating hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and supporting educational devices. Previously, Chris contributed as an electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, focusing on the design and repair of educational equipment, and as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, where responsibilities included circuit design and software development for forestry control systems. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology. Chris also gained teaching experience as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary.
