Rich Leimsider is an accomplished leader in the nonprofit and social enterprise sectors, currently serving as Entrepreneur-in-Residence and AI Lead at the Fund for the City of New York, where advisory services are provided on fundraising and strategic planning. As a consultant since 2015, Rich has supported diverse organizations in areas such as strategic planning for major NYC philanthropies and revenue expansion for humanitarian agencies. Rich founded PSLF.NYC to promote access to student loan forgiveness for public service workers and expanded Safe Passage Project as Executive Director, growing its budget significantly while helping children facing deportation. Previous roles include Vice President at Echoing Green and various positions that highlight a commitment to social impact and community service. The Fund for the City of New York was established by the Ford Foundation in 1968 with the mandate to improve the quality of life for all New Yorkers. The Fund seeks out, adapts, applies and assesses ways to enable government and nonprofit agencies to achieve excellence through its core programs—the Cash Flow Loan Program, the Incubator/Partner Project Program, Technology Consulting, the Sloan Public Service Awards, and the Sloan Awards for Excellence in Teaching Science and Mathematics.
