Amato is a visiting professor in the MBA programs at Fundação Instituto de Administração (FIA). For the European Commission, he was visiting professor of Supply Chain Management (sourcing & purcharsing) and Quality Management, at the International Master in Industrial Management, at Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and visiting researcher at the University of Aachen (Germany), Werkzeugmaschinenlabor (WZL) , Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH). He holds a postdoctoral degree in Economics and Business Administration from Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia (Italy). He has more than 200 complete articles published in the annals of Brazilian and foreign events and periodicals, having presented his research in several countries.

A private, non-profit institution, created, maintained, and managed by the professors of the Production Engineering Department of the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo. Its objective is to develop and disseminate scientific and technological knowledge inherent to Production Engineering, Industrial Administration, Operations Management, and other related activities that it carries out, with a total innovative character.
