Josep Gassó Espina

He is a pedagogue and was born in Barcelona in 1951. He has dedicated his whole life to promoting leisure education for children and young people, especially for those at risk of exclusion. He started more than 45 years ago creating the Club d'Esplai Bellvitge and in 1996 he promoted with other people the Fundació Catalana de l'Esplai, an entity he chairs. He took an active part in the creation of the NGO Platform for Social Action, which he chaired in its first stage between 1998 and 2003.
