Ian Dewsbury has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. Ian began their career as a Summer Law Intern for Brooklyn Legal Services Corporation A in 2005. In 2006, they held a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Jack B. Weinstein position at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, as well as a Summer Associate role at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. From 2007 to 2016, they worked as a Freelance Editor for Gale, A Cengage Company (EMEA). Ian then spent a year as an Associate at Ford O'Brien LLP, followed by a year as an Associate at Rower LLC. In 2019, they took on roles as a Software Engineer for Fundera and a Web Developer for Verifly.

Ian Dewsbury attended Fullstack Academy in 2018, where they completed an Immersive cohort 1802. Ian then attended Columbia Law School from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.). Prior to that, they attended the University of Chicago from 2002 to 2014, where they obtained an A.B. in Philosophy. Ian also obtained a certification from the New York State Bar Association in 2018, admitting him to the New York State Bar.
