Avi Nachmany

In 1986, Avi co-founded Strategic Insight (SI), a research and business intelligence firm for the mutual fund industry. In its early days, SI focused on the small, emerging U.S. fund industry. Today, SI’s research and technologies are shared throughout the world with companies that collectively manage a majority of the nearly $50 trillion invested in mutual funds globally.

After retiring from SI at the end of his 30th year there, Avi remains an independent mutual fund industry consultant and advisor and on a number of advisory boards focusing on mutual fund compliance. Avi is frequently invited to provide fund industry perspectives in conference and in the media. Avi is an Advisory Board Member of the NYC-based Baron Funds.

Avi was raised in a farming village in Israel, studied Chemistry at Tel Aviv University, and received an MBA, with distinction, from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
