Jack Klinck

Jack has spent his career in financial services serving on the management committees of State Street and BNY Mellon, and more recently in Venture Capital.

Jack began his career at American Express before moving to Mellon Bank in 1997 where he was promoted to CEO of its International Operations based in London and Vice Chairman serving on the Management Committee. In 2006 Jack then joined State Street in Boston, also serving on its Management Committee, where he ran Global Strategy and Marketing, Hedge Fund Administration, Client Management and started a new business unit called Global Exchange leveraging State Street’s data and analytics tools to help clients. In 2015, Jack left the large corporate world to focus on helping smaller firms grow through a new Venture Capital firm called Hyperplane. The firm has incubated two start-ups and made 42 investments focused on artificial intelligence and advanced technologies in the B2B space.

Jack has extensive board experience across a range of companies. He was the first independent director to join Cardlytics (NASDAQ:CDLX) when it was a private company and helped lead the 2018 IPO as an Audit Committee and Pricing Committee member. He also serves on several private company boards spanning Seed Stage through Series D.

Jack has been active in the communities where he lives and works. He recently spent 10 years as a board member of the Boy Scouts of America for Eastern MA including 2.5 years as Chairman. He also serves on the Advisory Council of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the National Association of Corporate Directors New England Chapter and the International Yacht Restoration School.

Jack has an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BA from Middlebury College where he earned Honors on his Senior Thesis. He has continued his education throughout his career with course work at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
