Andrew Kolean

Andrew Kolean has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Andrew is currently working at Fundrise as a Principal IOS Engineer, where they lead the integration of Snapshot Tests for UIs and develops reactive UIs for investor data visualization. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior IOS Engineer at Fundrise, where they developed a network module, executed a comprehensive refactor of the application, and contributed to a reusable UI component framework.

Before joining Fundrise, Andrew worked at Optimize Fitness, Inc. as an iOS Engineer. During their tenure, they modularized the legacy code base, led product and design discussions, created a data layer using Protocol Buffers, and implemented a WatchOS app with SwiftUI. Andrew also migrated the data layer to a reactive paradigm and refactored the entire app to use the Coordinator pattern.

Andrew also has experience as a Software Engineer at Seat Side Service, where they developed front-end and back-end features for a startup that allowed customers to order concessions from their smartphones. Additionally, they worked as a Computer Networks Instructional Aide at the University of Michigan, leading class discussions and assisting students in understanding computer networks.

During their early career, Andrew gained experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Djed Studios, where they developed automatic integration tests and worked on stress and load testing. Andrew also served as a Developer at the University of Michigan, where they provided design and operational support for a large user base and collaborated on printer server infrastructure.

Furthermore, Andrew worked as a Media Solutions Intern at Netech Corporation, where they installed technological equipment and advised customers on technological solutions.
