Sr. IT Systems Engineer at Funko

Matthew Newton has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries and roles. Matthew began their career as a Crew Leader at Little Caesars Pizza in 2006, where they held the position until 2011.

In 2011, Matthew joined the United States Air Force as an Electromechanical Technician. During their time there, they managed top-secret equipment, performed troubleshooting and repair of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles, and served as a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO), mentoring and leading airmen.

After leaving the Air Force in 2017, Matthew joined Fortive as an IT Support Technician. In this role, they provided technical support for various applications, including the Office365 Suite, Skype for Business, Teams, SharePoint, and Flow. Matthew also served as the sole IT technician for the corporate office, delivering outstanding professionalism and support. Matthew then advanced at Fortive to become an IT Support Lead, where they managed the Fluke IT Support team, documented and improved processes, trained technicians and users, and provided guidance and feedback.

Most recently, Matthew joined Funko in 2019 as a Senior Information Technology Specialist. Matthew performed this role until April 2021, after which they transitioned to the position of System Engineer. Further details of their responsibilities in this role are not provided.

Matthew Newton attended the Community College of the Air Force from 2014 to 2017, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Electronic Systems Engineering. Following this, they enrolled at Park University from 2014 to 2020 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.
