David Payling

David Payling has extensive experience in retail operations, currently serving as Director of Stores at Furniture Village since January 2019 and as Retail Operations Director at FABB Sofas since August 2016. Prior to these roles, David Payling worked at DFS from October 1989 to July 2016, where responsibilities included overseeing the Northern England store estate, managing a £500m turnover and a team of 500 employees as Retail Operations Director - North, and serving as Area Manager for 11 stores with a £90m turnover. David Payling began his career at Home Retail Group PLC as a Branch Manager and held various roles in the motor trade before that. Education includes attendance at Kirkintilloch High School from 1971 to 1976.
