Emily Stapleton

Emily Stapleton is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in climate planning, sustainable operations, and business development. Currently serving as an Executive Fellow in Climate Planning for Washoe County at FUSE, Emily focuses on implementing equitable and sustainable strategies to achieve the county's Net Zero 2050 target, including writing the Community Climate Action Plan. As an Investor and Limited Partner at Emmeline Ventures, Emily supports a women-led venture fund aimed at empowering female entrepreneurs. Previous roles include senior management positions at Amazon, where Emily improved delivery performance and sustainability, and leadership roles at Oceanworks® and Lyft, where marketplace growth and operational scaling were key achievements. Emily holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Psychology from Harvard University, alongside additional coursework in the carbon economy and machine learning.
