Matthew Yao has a diverse work experience in software development and leadership roles. Matthew worked as a Software Developer at Vytal starting in June 2023. Prior to that, Matthew served as the Chapter President and a Chapter Member of Future Business Leaders of America, Inc. (FBLA) from September 2022 to the present. In FBLA, they showcased their expertise in web development and design, winning first place in a state competition and qualifying for a national leadership conference. Matthew also served as the Head of Development at CerealCodes since June 2022. Additionally, they gained practical experience as a Software Development Intern at Cartogram, Inc. from July 2023 to September 2023, where they worked on implementing new technology into iOS apps.
Matthew Yao attended Walla Walla High School from 2021 to 2025, although no degree or field of study was specified during this time. Additionally, they enrolled at Whitman College in 2023, pursuing an enrichment program in Computer Science. Matthew also obtained the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate in July 2022 from the American Red Cross.
