Jalene Anderson-Baron

Jalene Anderson-Baron has a diverse range of work experience. Jalene is currently an Official Member of the Forbes Technology Council, starting in April 2021. Previously, they co-founded Future Fields Cellular Agriculture in February 2018. Jalene also held the role of Policy and Research Analyst at Capital Region Housing from June 2018 to June 2020.

Jalene has experience in project coordination, serving as a Project Coordinator for the Canadian Harm Reduction Policy Project (CHARPP) at the University of Alberta from May 2016 to June 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Inner City Health and Wellness Program from January 2016 to May 2016.

In addition, Jalene has worked as a Research Assistant at the Addiction and Mental Health Research Lab at the University of Alberta School of Public Health from May 2014 to October 2015. Jalene also gained experience as a Follow Up Support Worker at Bissell Centre's Homeless to Homes program from November 2012 to December 2013.

Earlier in their career, Jalene served as a Sustainability Assistant for Energy Management and Sustainable Operations at the University of Alberta from April 2009 to August 2012. Jalene also worked as a Research Assistant for the Aboriginal and Global Health Research Group at the University of Alberta from February 2011 to August 2011.

Jalene Anderson-Baron obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Geography from the University of Alberta, which they completed between 2007 and 2012. Jalene pursued further education and earned a Master of Arts degree in Human Geography from the same university, completing it from 2013 to 2016. In 2018, they also obtained a certification in Project Leadership from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology). Currently, they are attending the Max Bell Foundation's Public Policy Institute, but the end year is not provided.
