Ajay Bharara has a diverse work experience in the retail industry. Ajay started their career as an Assistant Buyer at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd, where they managed kids-wear private labels for Big Bazaar. Ajay then joined Genesis Colors as a Senior Retail Merchandiser. Later, they worked at DLF Brands Limited as a Category Manager, where they handled buying and merchandising for Mothercare and ELC. Currently, they are working at Future Lifestyle Fashions Limited as the Business Head, overseeing the buying and merchandising of infant apparels, utilities, and toys. Ajay has successfully streamlined inventory levels and executed strategic partnerships to fuel growth and gain market share. Ajay is skilled in assortment planning, range budgeting, and maintaining OTB sheets for seasonal buys.
Ajay Bharara obtained a Master's Degree in Fashion Retail Merchandising from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Hyderabad from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematical Sciences, with a focus on Mathematics and Computer Science, from the University of Delhi, PGDAV College in New Delhi from 2000 to 2003. Before their undergraduate studies, Ajay completed their 12th Class education from Jain Senior Secondary School in New Delhi, where they studied Maths, Science, Hindi, English, and Commerce from 1996 to 2000. In terms of additional certifications, Ajay obtained the Inbound Certification from HubSpot in August 2016, the Business Manager certification from Facebook in July 2016, and was also certified as "Doeacc 'O' level Certified" by the Ministry of Information in January 2000.
