Scott Lowe has held various roles throughout their work experience. Scott began their career in 1994 at Broome-Tioga BOCES as a Network Specialist, where they oversaw network, server, and database operations for three school districts. Scott then worked as an Associate Director of Information Technology Services at Hamilton College, where they oversaw the campus network and delivered infrastructure improvements.

In 2000, Lowe joined the City of Gaithersburg as a Lead Network Analyst, managing network and server projects and overseeing a 200-node network. Scott then worked at Thomson Reuters as a Systems Engineer, creating a Windows server infrastructure and integrating it with existing UNIX and Linux environments.

From 2001 to 2004, Lowe served as the Director of Information Technology at the National Association of Attorneys General, managing IT operations and budgets.

In 2004, they became the Director of Information Technology at Elmira College, responsible for campus IT infrastructure and budgets. Scott later became the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Westminster College, leading IT operations and supporting key campus initiatives.

Lowe then worked as a Senior IT Executive at CampusWorks, Inc., providing technology solutions to clients and serving as an interim CIO for a private liberal arts college. In 2012, they founded ActualTech Media, a content creation and demand generation firm specializing in enterprise technology vendors. The company was sold in 2022 and Lowe remained as CEO until 2023.

Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of B2B Product and Marketing at Future, a global media company. Scott also has a corporate role that includes ActualTech Media.

Throughout their career, Lowe has demonstrated their expertise in IT operations, infrastructure management, and strategic planning.

Scott Lowe received an AS in Computer Science from SUNY Broome Community College, which they completed between 1991 and 1994. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Empire State University, graduating between 1996 and 2000. In 2012, they obtained a certification as a VMware vExpert from VMware.
