Caitríona S. serves as the Head of Strategy and Innovation at FuturEnergy Ireland since April 2025, following a tenure as Senior Engineer at Bord na Móna from January 2022 to April 2025, where efforts focused on bringing Flextech projects to the Irish system. Prior experience includes various engineering roles at EirGrid, spanning from Senior Lead Engineer - System Integrity to Senior Engineer in Network Planning, contributing significantly to capacity market assessments and offshore wind grid planning. Caitríona S. also worked as a Power Systems Engineer at RINA Consulting Ltd, conducted impactful research at Imperial College London, and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, earning recognition for excellence in teaching. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Power Electronics and HVDC from Imperial College London and a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University College Cork. Caitríona S. participated in a female mentoring program and completed the Empowering People Managers Programme.
