Peter Lynch has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Peter currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of FuturEnergy Ireland since November 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Chairperson at Wind Energy Ireland starting from January 2020. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at Coillte in various roles including Managing Director of Renewable Energy, Head of Renewable Energy, Director of Asset Development, and Director of Corporate Finance. Before joining Coillte, they worked at Mainstream Renewable Power as a Commercial/M&A Manager (Offshore Wind) from 2012 to 2015. Peter'swork experience also includes a stint at NTR plc as the Senior Commercial Director of SES Inc., a subsidiary of NTR, from 2007 to 2011. Peter began their career as a Solicitor at McCann FitzGerald, a prominent Irish law firm, where they worked from 1999 to 2005.

Peter Lynch earned an MBA from INSEAD in 2006. Prior to that, they attended University College Dublin from 1994 to 1998 and obtained a BCL degree in European Law. In 1996 to 1997, they also studied at Université Toulouse 1, earning a Diplome des Etudes Eur. in Law/European Studies. Additionally, Lynch obtained a Tax Advisor certification from the Irish Tax Institute in 2005.
