Gökçe S. has a wealth of work experience. In 2013, they began their career as a Communications Intern at the European Parliament. In 2015, they worked as an Editorial Intern at NasılKolay. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Researcher at the Center for Cultural Policy Research Cupore, during which time they co-authored a policy brief on artistic persecution and asylum seeking for the Finnish Immigration Service and local art institutions. Gökçe also worked as a Translator at iTranslation Service in 2018, where they worked on the globalization project of an award-winning mobile app with over 7 million users. In 2019, they were a Copywriter at GLAMI, and in 2020 they were a Creative Strategist at SHIFT Business Festival. Additionally, they have worked as a VJ, making live visuals for music venues such as Kaiku, Merikerho and HIAP in Helsinki/Finland. Gökçe also held two roles at Futures Platform, a Foresight Analyst Trainee and a Foresight Analyst & Content Marketing Specialist.
Gökçe S. completed a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Boğaziçi University between 2012 and 2015. In 2014, they attended Uppsala University for a field of study in Comparative Literature. Gökçe then went on to receive a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies from the University of Helsinki between 2016 and 2019. In addition, Gökçe S. has obtained several certifications from the Interaction Design Foundation, including Emotional Design, Get Your Product Used: Adoption and Appropriation, User Experience: The Beginner’s Guide, User Research – Methods and Best Practices, and Design Thinking: The Beginner's Guide.
