Cindy Goertzen

An entrepreneurial spirit, Cindy co-founded Maira Group Inc., a majority Metis owned business, with her husband Dr. Andrew Goertzen. Maira Group operates in the medical imaging field as a consultancy and management firm for patent royalty and licensing income. They have partnered with contract research organizations, for design of imaging-based clinical trials studies both in Canada and Europe and are currently working with a Canadian client on the commercialization of a new imaging system, developed using technology licensed from the University of Manitoba. As well, internationally, Maira Group has partnered with a start-up medical imaging company in the Asian market to develop a new product for the global marketplace.

Having recently divested her ownership stake in Trivenity Corporation, a firm she co-founded in 2015 which continues to focus on corporate development and finance as well as bookkeeping, Cindy is in the process of evaluating her next business venture so stay tuned for what comes next!

Cindy is very passionate when it comes to entrepreneurship and appreciates the opportunity to serve on the Board of Futurpreneur Canada to support and witness first hand all the amazing services the team provides young entrepreneurs across Canada.
