Brendon Standing

Brendon Standing has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and companies. Brendon began their career as a Senior Systems Administrator at PR NewsWire and Airport Bureau Systems, where they were responsible for server upgrades and website maintenance. Brendon then joined Betfair as a Senior Linux Application Engineer, focusing on standards, tools, and environments.

In 2013, they moved to Marin Software as a Principal DevOps Engineer, taking on technical leadership and specializing in integration frameworks. Brendon also implemented automation processes and improved change management. At Sky, Brendon worked as a Principal DevOps Engineer and Platform Manager, overseeing DevOps activities and managing the platform.

Joining Paddy Power Betfair as an SRE Delivery Manager, Brendon led delivery efforts in the Site Reliability Engineering department. At Marin Software, they first served as a Global SRE Director and later as a Senior Director, Technical Operations, managing infrastructure and support services across multiple locations.

Brendon then joined Oracle as a Senior Manager SRE - OCI Big Data Development, leading the SRE function, building teams, and driving the adoption of SRE activities. During their time at Micro Focus as the Global Head of Site Reliability Engineering, they built highly skilled SRE squads and removed bottlenecks in the legacy Operations functions.

Currently, Brendon is an Operations Lead at FuturU, where they are applying their expertise to drive operational success. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong technical leadership, expertise in SRE and DevOps, and a focus on delivering high-quality services.
