Sid Sankaran

Sid Sankaran is a seasoned finance executive currently serving as the Managing Director and Group Chief Financial Officer at FWD Insurance since September 2023, where responsibilities include leading finance, actuarial, investment, and governance functions. Prior to this, Sid has held various significant roles, including Interim Chief Financial Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Oscar Health, where oversight of the company’s IPO in 2021 was a key achievement. As Chairman and CEO of SiriusPoint from its inception in August 2019 until May 2022, Sid played a crucial role in the merger of Third Point Reinsurance Ltd with Sirius Group. Additionally, Sid served as Chief Financial Officer at AIG, contributing to its restructuring and re-IPO, and was a key member of the Board of Directors for Third Point Re, eventually becoming Chairman. Early career achievements include serving as Chief Risk Officer and Partner at Oliver Wyman. Sid holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
