Elissa Johnson has extensive experience in criminal justice advocacy and reform. Elissa currently holds the position of Vice President for Criminal Justice Campaigns at FWD.us. Prior to this role, Elissa worked as a Senior Supervising Attorney at the Southern Poverty Law Center and served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. Elissa's legal career also includes positions as a Staff Attorney and Law Fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center. Elissa holds a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a Master's in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.
