Ivette Morataya

Informed Immigrant Strategic Engagement Director at FWD.us

Ivette Morataya has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2015 as an intern at the Office of Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth. In 2015, they also worked as a Detention Project Intern at the National Immigrant Justice Center. Ivette then joined Ivettes Auto Sales in 2008 as a Manager, where they worked until 2018. During this time, they had various roles at FWD.us, starting as an Organizing Intern in 2016 and then progressing to Midwest Chapter Associate and Midwest Chapter Manager. Currently, Ivette holds the position of Informed Immigrant Outreach Director at FWD.us, a role they have held since September 2018.

Ivette Morataya attended Dominican University from 2011 to 2015, where they studied Sociology. Ivette completed their Bachelor's degree in Sociology during the same period.
