Zaira R. Garcia

Zaira R. Garcia has a diverse work experience. Zaira R. started their career at Epic Health Services, Inc. as a Bilingual Office Coordinator from May 2012 to July 2015. In 2015, they joined FWD.us as an Organizing Intern, where they advocated for comprehensive immigration reform and coordinated advocacy efforts with key stakeholders and congressional leadership in Texas. Zaira R. later became a Texas Chapter Associate, building grassroots capacity and managing volunteer leadership in key congressional districts. From June 2017 to February 2018, Zaira served as the Texas Organizing Manager at FWD.us, organizing programs, events, and strategic advocacy for bipartisan immigration reform at the federal level. In 2017, they also joined Informed Immigrant as an Ambassador, connecting vulnerable communities with resources and conducting training on knowing their rights and utilizing tech and online resources.

Zaira R. Garcia obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree with a triple major in Government, Sociology, and Secondary Education from The University of Texas at Austin. Zaira R. completed their studies from 2012 to 2015.
