Patrick Grondin

Patrick Grondin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Patrick started their career as a Deployment Specialist at Nokia in 2010, before taking on the role of Online Game - Live Operations Specialist at Electronic Arts (EA) in 2011.

At EA, Patrick was responsible for automating cloud deployment and configuration management of the gaming infrastructure, implementing centralized log aggregation, and designing an architecture for high availability and reliability. Patrick also developed solutions for continuous integration and deployment and operated live infrastructure for three game production teams.

Patrick then worked at Xobni as a Linux Systems Administrator and DevOps Specialist, where they re-engineered the configuration management process and improved trackability of changes.

Patrick then joined Ubisoft as a Technical Lead - DevOps, where they worked on developing and operating middleware solutions for interactive media content. Patrick also served as an Online Programmer at Ubisoft and a Solution Architect at TC Media.

After that, Patrick joined Fibrenoire as a Solutions Architect and Genvid Technologies Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer (DevOps). At Genvid, they developed a middleware solution for operating a streaming solution for interactive media content and automated cloud infrastructure deployments.

More recently, Patrick worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Solutions Architect - Game Tech. Patrick worked with game customers to guide them towards the right technical solutions, led workshops to train customers on new technologies, and developed training material and blog posts about game tech.

Currently, Patrick is working as a Cloud Architect at FX Innovation, where they are utilizing their expertise in cloud architecture to support the company's projects.

Patrick Grondin attended the Université de Sherbrooke from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the ITIL v3 Foundation certification from ITIL in July 2010. Patrick also holds certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Professional certification obtained in October 2022, the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Associate certification obtained in June 2020, and the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification obtained in May 2020.
