Vijay Balakrishnan

Vijay Balakrishnan is a Lead Software Engineer at FxSound and the Founder of Vectoral Innovations. Vijay has over 12 years of experience in software development, including 4 years as a Freelance Software Consultant.

Balakrishnan’s experience includes work with Microsoft to develop display driver features for HoloLens, an innovative display solution for a major OEM, and lead development of a WPF based Graphics Control Panel application. Vijay also conceptualized and implemented solutions for driver diagnostics and debugging, display power saving, and IoT product prototypes.

In their role as Software Architect at Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd., Balakrishnan designed a generic MIPI display programming sequence framework for display drivers. Vijay also lead the development effort to enable the WPF based Graphics Control Panel application to support Intel Atom Graphics Controller through its driver interface. In addition, they developed an innovative smooth rotation driver solution for better display rotation and avoid the screen flashes and artifacts caused by Windows 7 rotation.

Balakrishnan’s skills include software development, software architecture, and consulting. Vijay has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Madras University.

Vijay Balakrishnan attended the Birla Institute of Technology and Science from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. Vijay then attended Murugappa Polytechnic in Chennai from 1990 to 1993, where they earned a DCSE in Computer Science and Engineering.
