Ghada Badawy has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and academic institutions. Ghada currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at FYELABS, a company that specializes in product development for ambitious SMEs and startups. Ghada is also the Vice President and Co-Founder of FyeLabs, where they help transform ideas into marketable products.
Prior to their current roles, Ghada worked at McMaster University as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Principal Research Engineer. Ghada also served as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Waterloo.
Ghada gained industry experience at BlackBerry, where they worked as a Wireless Networks Researcher, focused on IEEE 802.11 systems and simulation activities. Ghada also worked at IBM as a Software Engineer.
Throughout their academic career, Ghada held positions at Ryerson University, where they were a Postdoctoral Fellow conducting research on vehicular ad hoc networks, and at McMaster University, where they completed their PhD and held a Postdoctoral Fellowship.

Ghada Badawy (Ph.D) pursued their education in a chronologically structured manner. Ghada began their academic journey in 2002 at Cairo University, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Computer Engineering in 2005. Following this, they enrolled at McMaster University in 2005 and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2009.
