Joe Mendoza has had a long and successful career in operations management. Joe began their career in 2003 as the R&D Manager and Engineering Manager at The Clorox Company. In 2010, they were recruited to lead the new products and projects portion of Continuous Improvement program at ConAgra Foods. In 2013, they took on the role of Director of Manufacturing at G.L. Mezzetta, Inc., where they reduced safety loss time by 83% and quality complaints by 50%. In 2015, they were recruited to start-up a new plant and increase capacity at Blue Diamond Growers. Joe reduced safety loss time to zero incidents and quality complaints by 60%. In 2019, they were recruited as Director of Manufacturing at Santa Cruz Nutritionals, where they reduced safety RIR from 9.7 to 3. In 2021, they were recruited as Vice President Operations at Rubicon Bakers, where they reduced safety loss time to zero incidents and quality complaints by 46%. Most recently, in 2022, they were recruited as Head of Manufacturing Operations at Fyrn, where they relocated operations on time and budget, and built the expected capability and capacity by using continuous improvement mindset and meticulous execution.
Joe Mendoza obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo between 1986 and 1990.
