Steven Smolders

Steven Smolders is an experienced professional in the field of geotechnics and geoinformatics, currently serving as the Technology Director and GeoICT Team & Project Manager at GIM - smart geo insights since April 2004. Prior to this role, Steven held the position of Software Engineering Manager at Fugro from January 2001 to April 2004, where responsibilities included managing the development of data acquisition and processing software for offshore geophysical and geotechnical site investigations. Steven's earlier career includes work as a Geophysical Consultant at Thales, focusing on offshore investigations and the development of processing software for geo-electrical surveys, and as a Software Engineer at CSC. Steven holds a degree in Civil Engineering from KU Leuven, earned between 1992 and 1997.
