Evan Gerontakis

Evan Gerontakis is a Principal NetOps Engineer at G.Network Communications, responsible for providing technical leadership for Network Systems and Platforms that support the G.Network PON network since May 2022. Prior to this role, Evan worked at BT for nearly a decade, serving in various capacities including CDN Designer, where network designs for BT’s CDN platform were produced and tools for infrastructure management were developed. As Transmission Integration Manager, responsibilities encompassed design verification and integration for BT's Transmission platform, while challenges included cross-platform project management and testing. Additionally, Evan contributed as a Transmission Network Design Consultant, evaluating innovative technologies and providing design support. Evan began the professional career as a Lab Teaching Assistant at the University of Athens and also engaged in copy editing and research roles. Evan holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Athens.
