Matt Matravers

Principal Engineer at G-Research

Matt Matravers has a diverse work experience in the fields of software development and engineering. Matt began their career at IBM in 2004 as a Software GUI Tester, where they were responsible for testing the graphical user interface for a new release of WebSphere MQ. From 2007 to 2011, Matt worked as a Software Developer at IBM, specializing in network management software. Matt gained experience with various technologies and platforms while developing and maintaining both IBM Tivoli Network Manager and IBM Tivoli Netcool OMNIbus.

In 2011, Matt joined G-Research as a Software Developer, and later took on the role of Technical Lead from 2015 to 2017. During this time, they contributed to the interpretation, modeling, and engineering of core data tooling for the company. In 2017, Matt was promoted to the position of Software Development Manager, where they managed the Data Events team within the Data Development Group. Matt oversaw the team's work in providing automated solutions for data operations, utilizing various data resources. In 2020, Matt became a Principal Engineer at G-Research, further contributing to the company's data operations.

Matt Matravers completed their A-Levels in Information Technology, Mathematics, Drama, and German from West Somerset Community College in the years 1997-2002. Matt then pursued a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of York from 2002-2006.
