Michelle Oakes

Michelle Oakes is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in strategic analysis and operational management. Currently serving as a Senior Strategic Analyst at G-Research since July 2025, Michelle previously held multiple leadership roles at Macquarie Group from February 2016 to July 2025, including Northern Hemisphere COO and COO Function for Global Equities, as well as positions in cash equities and equity derivatives. Earlier career positions include Junior Analyst at Axiom Forensics, Research Assistant at UTS: University of Technology, Sydney, and Finance Intern at Commonwealth Bank. Michelle holds a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Technology Sydney, and completed education at Regent's University London and Roseville College.
