Gene S. Godick

CEO at G-Squared Partners

With over 25 years of financial and executive experience, including eight years of Big Five accounting experience, Gene Godick’s knowledge and expertise covers all verticals of business finance. Gene led the Verticalnet IPO, where he helped the company raise $64 million in equity. During his tenure there, he raised over $300 million and completed over 25 M&A transactions. After the internet bubble crashed, Gene led the restructuring of Verticalnet, ultimately transforming it into a leading spend management software company.

From 2006 until 2012, Gene served as CEO and founder of nursing uniform online retailer and cataloger, Tafford Uniforms. He sold the assets to a PE-backed strategic buyer in 2012.

Most recently, Gene founded G-Squared Partners, LLC. G-Squared Partners is currently providing part-time CFO services, financial and operational consulting to many of the leading venture-backed and technology companies in the NYC to DC corridor. Gene received a BS from Villanova University and is a certified public accountant and certified management accountant.
