Richard Eacott has extensive experience in the maritime and cargo handling industry, having held key positions at several leading companies. From February 2004 to June 2011, Richard served as Operations Manager at Gearbulk (Pty)(SA)Ltd, overseeing the operations department and focusing on vessel port calls, cargo stowage, and productivity improvements. Richard then progressed to Gearbulk UK Ltd as Port Captain Europe from September 2012 to May 2017, where responsibilities included coordinating vessel operations and ensuring compliance with safety and sustainability criteria. Transitioning to Gearbulk UK as Manager Cargo Handling from July 2011 to August 2012, Richard implemented measures to enhance global productivity and safety while conducting crew training. Currently, Richard has been Manager Cargo Handling and Safety at G2 Ocean since May 2017, targeting productivity increases and cost reductions while emphasizing best practices in safety and cargo handling.
