Ram Gounder has extensive work experience in the field of project management and technology management. Ram started their career in 1992 as a Software Developer and later progressed to the role of Project Lead in various IT organizations. From 2000 to 2014, Ram worked at Fiserv as a Manager - Technology Management, where they were responsible for delivering technology refresh projects and providing long-term solutions. In 2014, they joined Information Control Company (now g2o) as a Sr. Project Manager/Program Manager, where they built Agile teams and managed the delivery of application development and integration projects for clients. Ram's responsibilities included scoping, estimating, planning, building, managing, and delivering high-quality products using cutting-edge technologies and the agile delivery model.

Ram Gounder obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Government College of Technology, which they attended from 1988 to 1992. Ram later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Organizational Leadership from Franklin University, attending from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Ram Gounder obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in October 2014.
