Niamh McCarthy

Niamh McCarthy is a dedicated professional with a strong background in climate change and event coordination. Currently serving as a Scientific Officer III at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Ireland since February 2024, Niamh previously worked as a Climate Change Intern with the Climate Change Advisory Council Ireland and as a Research Centre Administrator at Teagasc. Niamh also has experience as a Research Assistant at Maynooth University, contributing to the Línte na Farraige climate action project. In addition to climate-focused roles, Niamh has worked in customer-facing positions, including Turnstile Operator at the GAA and Administrative Assistant at THE PHYSIO PLACE LTD, showcasing a versatile skill set in both scientific and administrative capacities. Niamh holds a Master of Science in Climate Change and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Music from Maynooth University.
