Kathy specialises in commercial litigation, dispute resolution and corporate insolvency, and has extensive experience advising in relation to Australia’s largest corporate disputes, investigations and collapses.

Her experience includes representing numerous organisations and individuals in connection with investigations by ASIC into alleged breaches of various Corporations Act and National Credit Code provisions including claims of insider trading, market manipulation, misleading conduct, breach of terms of AFSL and investigations as to responsible lending. Offering strong expertise across financial services regulation, Kathy continues to act for Australia’s major banks including ANZ Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, as well as other lenders including Volkswagen Financial Services Australia.

Kathy’s expertise is highly sought after and has led to her acting collaboratively with Australia’s key regulators such as the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) and the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) in regards to sensitive and complex cases including the recent Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry, the collapse of Trio Capital and the highly-publicised investigations into ABC Learning Centres.

Kathy works closely with her clients to achieve timely and practical outcomes utilising a range of formal and alternative dispute resolution techniques.

Since 2014, each year Kathy has been nominated and selected as a Best Lawyer in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Bet-the-Company Litigation, Government Practice, Insolvency and Reorganisation Law and Litigation by Best Lawyers Australia.
